Is pagar karo an HRMS?
Yes. It is a complete HRMS for Indian businesses: employee database, onboarding to exit, attendance, leave, payroll and compliance, a self-service app, performance, documents, assets and HR reports on one employee record.
Can staff update their own details?
Staff can see their profile, change their photo and upload documents from the app (uploads are approved by HR). HR updates the rest of the record.
Does it handle probation and confirmation?
Yes. Probation reviews are listed before they fall due; managers confirm, extend or end employment, and the matching letter is drafted.
Can I track employee assets?
Yes. Laptops, phones, uniforms and tools are handed over with photos, confirmed by the employee in the app and checked back at exit.

Getting started
How long does setup take?
The 7-step setup guide (business details, attendance policy, shifts, weekly offs, holidays, leave and salary basics) takes about 15 minutes. Import staff from Excel and invite them to the app the same day.
Can I try it without entering real data?
Yes. “Explore with sample data” creates a separate demo business with 12 staff, salaries and two weeks of attendance that you can delete with one click.
Can I manage more than one company?
Yes. One login can hold several businesses, each with its own staff, policies and payroll, billed together.
Do you help with onboarding?

Attendance & leave
What ways can staff mark attendance?
The staff app with selfie and GPS, a shared face-recognition kiosk tablet, biometric machines (push or file upload), or admins marking it on the web.
Can staff punch only from the office?
Yes. Set a geofence radius per work site. Punches outside it are blocked or sent for approval — your choice.
Does it handle night shifts?
Yes. Shifts that cross midnight, rotational rosters and up to three shifts in a day are supported.
Is location tracked all the time?
No. Field tracking runs only between punch in and punch out, for staff you choose, and the app shows a clear notice while it is on.

Payroll & compliance
Which statutory deductions are supported?
EPF (with EPS, EDLI and admin charges), ESI, Professional Tax, Labour Welfare Fund, gratuity provision and income tax (TDS) under both regimes.
Can I pay daily-wage and piece-rate workers?
Yes. Daily, hourly and work-basis (piece-rate) staff are paid in the same payroll as monthly staff.
How are payslips shared?
Payslips appear in the staff app as soon as a month is locked and can also be sent by email, SMS or WhatsApp.
Can I correct a payroll after locking?
Yes. Unlock with a reason (recorded in the audit log), correct, and lock again. Payslips are regenerated with the same numbers.
Does pagar karo replace my CA?
No. pagar karo calculates and records everything your CA needs — registers, return data and challan records — but statutory rates and filings should still be reviewed by a qualified professional.

Security & data
Who can see salary data?
Only people whose role allows it, and only for staff in their data scope. Staff see only their own payslips.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Owners can download the whole business as one file at any time.
Does pagar karo sell my data?
No. Your data is used only to provide the service to you.
