About us

“Pagar karo” — pay people right, every time.

We started pagar karo because the people who keep India’s factories, shops and sales routes running deserve to be paid correctly and on time — and their employers deserve tools that don’t need an accountant to operate.

Why the name

Pagar is salary; karo means “do it”. Our logo is two forward chevrons — the first blue, the second sunrise orange for “paid” — with two slits that quietly echo the bars of the rupee sign.

What we build

One system for attendance, leave, payroll, statutory compliance, field teams and HR, with a staff app in English and Hindi. It is designed India-first: Indian statutory rules, ₹ in lakh and crore, dd/mm/yyyy dates, WhatsApp-friendly sharing and support for staff who don’t own a smartphone.

How we build it

  • Explainable over clever. Every salary line shows how it was calculated.
  • Explicit saves. Nothing that affects pay changes without you pressing Save.
  • Dated rules. Policies and statutory rates change from a date, never retroactively by accident.
  • Privacy by default. Location only on duty, encrypted IDs, data you can export.
